I got the email with my person number back when i applied that they would be sending me an email with my password shortly, however they never did. Now I’m getting an email saying my financial aid is ready but I need my password.

Did this happen to anybody else?

or is there a generic code that I can use to figure out my password(like its your birthdate or something)

I believe it is a randomly generated password they give you, and then you can change it to whatever you want. I never got an email with my password, I got my password in a letter through the mail a couple weeks after I applied. If you haven’t gotten it yet, I suggest calling them and getting one sent out ASAP.

I called and they said they were resending an email to everyone containing there person number and password. they said within 24 hours of 10am today. So we should know by 10am tomorrow

don’t worry about it.
the same exact thing happened to me, i emailed them and heres what you need to do:
send them a copy of your state ID, includes your name and UB person number in the email, and leave your phone number in the email.
thats what i did, and they called me back in less than 24 hours with instruction to reset my account.
this whole process took less than two days.
goodluck!

I was sent the email with my UB Person # but no follow-up email with the password. I called, probably two weeks ago now, and was asked if I had filed my FAFSA yet. I said I had and was told that some students had to have a number and password regenerated and would receive it by mail (not email) in 5-6 weeks, which it had already been by that time.

I’ve got to call Buff State tomorrow with some questions. I might as well call UB too and ask them again where my number and password are.
