I Promise I did/didn't/wasn't me/not my fault...

Today someone blamed me for something i did not do. I realized that im probably not the only one with this problem and it's quite depressing to be used as a scapegoat or just being blamed for being at somewhere at the wrong time.. This is especially true when the blame is issued before you had time to provide an alibi. so post here if you had a similar experience :D

I can't say that I enable people to blame me for certain things, but people definitely take advantage of me(I do enable them to do that). I suppose it's a matter of standing up to others. I am known to be a nice person that people will occasionally use for their own benefit. While I am content with this at times, one has to know their limits. Unfortunately, a multitude of my friends believe that I am going to grow up to be alone and abused.(I have awesome friends!:)(just kidding))

A similar situation happened to me like two years with one of my teachers, who blamed me for something I didn't do. It was humiliating b/c he used me as an example in front my whole class and then he went on and told all the teachers in the school, which was horrible b/c they lost all respect for me. I was devastated because (a) I was wrongfully accused of something someone else did (b) it was the classic case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time (and apparently the other person had an alibi).

A few days later I went to the teacher and apologized for any misunderstanding, but I told him I felt it was necessary that he gets to hear my side of the story. Then he stopped me and told me he knew that I didn't really do what I was accused of, but he just had to use me to set an example for the class. I was infuriated...

^Wow, that's unfortunate:/ I'm sorry xx:( Your school doesn't sound too appeasing. You have teachers who stalk students so they can give them detentions and you can't even wear jeans!:(

It's okay. That teacher got fired anyway (twice might I add - karma is amazing) :D.

That was actually back in middle school (which was 10X worse than my high school, IMO b/c the teachers and faculty were so corrupt).
