I believe that high school juniors moving on to senior year should receive little to no work over the summer so they can jumpstart the Common App and college essays. I’ve recently started my Common App, and man there is a ton to fill out! Sure, this brings the usual question of “Some students might take advantage of this and not start working on college stuff.” That is true, but I have to answer for that question. First, those are the students who probably don’t do any of the summer assignments in the first place. Secondly, that’s their fault. When deadlines come around and they don’t have anything, they can only blame themselves. What do you guys think?
