WHENEVER i open my fridge there is NO food in there. when i say no food, i mean the only thing in my fridge that’s ever available is milk, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, garlic, juice, ketchup, and other things. but NOTHING else, i can’t find anything to eat in my house, and somehow my mom always cooks dinner!!

i don’t get it, all of my friends have over-flowing fridges with so many things, but we have nothing!! i don’t get where my mom gets all the ingredients to make breakfast/lunch/dinner. in the cabinets, there’s also nothing, and the only thing actually available to eat is cereal.

no joke, but it’s a serious problem when the only thing i have to eat when im at the library is cereal in a plastic bag, and not be able to pack an actual sandwich.

all these years, she might have been secretly ordering takeout and recooking it.
If you want to eat something, what’s wrong with washing the lettuce and eating it raw. Would be an interesting sight for those at the library.

i just got picked up from the library on account of the cereal wasn’t filling me up, so i was like “screw it, i’ll study at home where i can mix and match the few things i have to fill myself”

I love lettuce. Lettuce and celery make a great snack. If you have ranch dressing, there’s a good snack for you. Throw in some tomatoes, and you almost have a salad.

To get full quickly, drink a liter or so of water in one sitting (one liter = two regular sized bottles). You won’t want anything to eat after that. Try to drink the water in less than five minutes if possible.

If you have a job, you can head over to the supermarket and buy your own food. Just stay away from expensive stuff, and keep it limited to bread, vegetables, and a few boxed snacks. As for drinks, soda and Gatorade can be expensive, so just buy water, preferably in big jugs, because it’s cheaper that way.

The final option is to go grocery shopping with your mom. If you go with her, you can pick out all sorts of things to eat during the week. However, if you do that, you must also stop complaining that there is nothing to eat, because that would then be your own fault.

(to jbvirtuoso) sounds good actually. my mom did go grocery shopping yesterday. the only addition there was to the fridge was yogurt (seriously)…

i’m jealous of my other friend whose gets the luxury to study at the library. HIS mom actually gives him MONEY to buy food at a nearby subway or something so he can eat in between studying. MY parents are stingy on money…

so i get $0 + a bag of cereal to eat while studying. lovely lol.

“HIS mom actually gives him MONEY to buy food at a nearby subway or something so he can eat in between studying. MY parents are stingy on money…”

My mom just hands me 20 buckaroos, and I literally feast on a banquet.

I always do that too, during one of the very few times that I go there. I eat all kinds of stuff in there; beef jerky, chips, cookies, and they kick me out and I go back in 3 seconds later.

Haha, I have this exact same problem. And even worse, I’m always walking to the fridge and opening it up, hoping maybe someday food will appear.
And, I’m always at the library too. Although… that could be because they have cheap vending machines… :]

lol, i’m always at the library because i study there. it’s a good studying tip to study at any other place BUT your house. preferably…a library =D

it’s only a 10~15 minute walk, but lately i can’t go when i have no food!!

oh, and the librarians don’t care if you eat, as long as you aren’t obnoxious about it or making a mess.
