So, I’m 17, and a senior in high school. I knew that I was the teachers pet, but now I think that its more than that. Let me give you all my reasons for why I think she wants to have an intimate relationship.
During class, I asked my teacher if she can answer a question I had and she asked me to ask her after class so I wont take time during class cause the question required a lengthy answer. TBH, i think this was just an excuse for her to spend more time with me.
She gave me detention. My teacher ALWAYS makes me stay in during lunch because I text in class or talk too much. Other people do this too, but she doesn't do anything to them. Coincidence? I think not.
I was taking out a piece of gum today, and she asked me if she can have one. Coincidence? I think not.
We got our quarterly progress reports, and on the comments section she said "a hard worker and not afraid to ask questions. Gets off topic sometimes, but a delight to have in the class". Coincidence? I think not.
My teacher gave me an A in her class and and today asked me if I can TA for her next year. Coincidence? I thin not.
I asked her for a rec letter a month ago for something and she said " I would be delighted. you are a very hard working student". Usually, teachers would just say yes, but this teacher told me she would be delighted, as if she can let out her inner feelings about me in my rec letter. Coincidence? I think not.
Should I talk to her about this or do u think it would better to just keep it a secret for now?
Wow. You really overthought this one. For a senior, I think you would have a good relationship built up with a few teachers like this one. Its perfectly normal for her to give u detention if you text and talk in class. Just because she tells you she is delighted to do something doesnt translate into sexual desire. I have 5 teachers that I have the exact same relationship with as you described above, minus the detentions. She just really enjoys ur company and ur a favorite student, nothing more.
Going to let this thread be. And you people thought we mods have no sense of humor. But this is not The Onlon, so we are not going to make a habit of it.
Thanks for a great laugh. It’s going to be a long day at school, and I’ll think of this post every time a kid asks a question with a long answer or when a kid gets in trouble for having a phone out.
