I walked on the "M" accidently!

I know it’s a legend but out of curiosity, have people really failed their first exam or are there some people who have done well and not had to go streaking!?

haha it’s so funny but kind of freaked at the same time.

no its not real lol.

No it’s real. No matter how hard you study you will fail your first exam. It’s not divine intervention or anything like that though. They have a camera watching the M and then whenever someone walks on it they use facial recognition software and figure out who the person is. Then they find the professor who is giving that person their first exam and tell them to fail them. Yep, they do that.

**** no wonder why i failed mine -.-

What QwertyKey said happened to my friend last fall. Sucks to be him

I wouldn’t take a chance. The antidote is worth it.

Qwertykey…I’m getting a sarcasm vibe from you? am I right?

I don’t know, why would you think what I said was untrue?

…

Yes, of 'course it’s sarcastic. How could you possibly have thought for a second that it was true?

Well, its true that most if not all people fail their first test after stepping on the M so I would recommend taking the antidote or playing “sick” until a non-important exam/blue book comes up.

@nata123 It is not true that you’ll fail your first exam…that is an absurd claim. You’ll just die in seven days :D

He’s not lying. You’re f******

Never step on the M. I’ve multiple blue books already, but it’s just not classy to step on it.

I stomp on that ***** anytime I see it.

I walked on it during orientation. As an engineer my first “blue book” test was just a test that needed a blue book for scrap paper during sophomore year. Needless to say, I got a ~50%. So yeah…don’t step on it?

man you are a stupid ****

i used to not care, until i slipped and almost cracked my head open during winter when it was iced over. watch out for that

Just make sure your first exam is from an LSA class and you’ll be fine

The first time I stepped on it, I nearly slipped on the ice and fell. Haven’t attempted to do so after that.

Superstition

su·per·sti·tion   /ˌsupərˈstɪʃən/
–noun

a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge, in or of the ominous significance of a particular thing, circumstance, occurrence, proceeding, or the like.

Enough Said

I’m sick and tired of these new freshmen arriving at orientation with their yellow freshmen dogtags on and traipsing along the diag with their newly made freshmen group of friends acting like they’re the boss around campus.

Whenever I walk past them in the diag they’re staring at the M in absolute fascination. And EVERYTIME one of them says “Dude, I dare you to step on it…” like there’s a mine under it or something.

chill broski
