Right now, it’s the summer and I’m currently going to enroll in Honors Biology and Math in the 9th grade year, but my counselor won’t recommend me to take Honors English because I got a 3 on the SBAC in 7th grade. I really want to take this class because I do not want to be behind in the learning curve. In addition, I have a diagnostic test from 7th grade that said that I got a 4. Can this diagnostic test be proof that I am eligible to take Honors English?
What does your 8th grade English teacher think?
While this might not be possible at your school, see if you can get your parents to override.
