IAMA graduating senior at ucla. Ask me anything.

Do you have any premed friends?

If so how difficult is it to maintain a high gpa

Hi,

If you have placed out of the writing requirements but still want to take a good prepatory intro- writing class, to make sure skills are up to par, is Writing I still appropriate ? Are there any other classes/professors for these purposes that you can recommend?

@TeenDream - maintaining a high gpa will definitely be hard. but it also depends on the major. I have friends with majors in history that are also pre-med, and they have a much easier work load than someone that is studying in neuroscience.

@seachge333 - I took English Comp 3 with [BruinWalk : Greg Rubinson](http://www.bruinwalk.com/professors/engcomp/greg-rubinson/) . I had a good time in his class and also learned a lot. His classes are very interactive and would not be the best if you are overly shy or timid. He makes you read your essays out loud in class and then openly critiques them. Overall good guy though.

Hey CremieuxR, hope I didn’t miss the chance to ask some questions.

You said you received offers from FB, Microsoft, and the like. as a fellow cs major that sounds quite impressive and rare to me from what I’ve seen of the student body. what did you do in particular that allowed you to separate from the pack and get offers from all the hot companies? any advice for someone looking for a comfy job at FB as well?

@CremieuxR. What’s your job title?

Also, what’s average GPA in computer science?
