I see people complaining about this a lot. I mean it is a 12-credit course, and on paper it sounds too interesting to be tedious. Even Echols Scholars complain about it! But perhaps it is?

I had a bathroommate in the comm school, she didn’t mind it. She said as long as you just put in the time and get the work done your grade will be good.

Would someone mind explaining to me a bit about what ICE is?

The official web site about it:
[Integrated Core Experience](http://www.commerce.virginia.edu/academic_programs/undergrad/Pages/ice.aspx)

Basically 3rd-year comm students take one 3-hour class on monday-thursday, rather than a bunch of different classes.

^ Thanks for the link!

Does anyone have any personal experience with the ICE class?

AFAIK most of the workload is on these weekend projects that apparently consume entire weekends.

How much time is spent dealing with the company (indirectly or directly)? I mean, being able to analyse Kimberly Clark’s (or whatever firm you get assigned) finances and business model – and to propose future plans! – seems kind of cool.

How does it say, compare with the e-school workload?
