ICL Admissions test

I recently got an email about a 45 minute admissions test from ICL that would be sent through email.

Has anyone else got it? Where should I prepare from? What kind of questions will be there?

Do you mean Imperial College London? I thought they only did the BMAT and the MAT, both of which you do in the autumn, and neither of which you can do by mail.

I would be surprised that UCL would do something as important as admissions test in such an uncontrolled way, but it is a common part of the hiring process for a lot of UK firms (you do a series of online tests to get you through to the interview stage).

Any chance it is from a company (not ICL) that wants to sell you services to ‘help’ you get in?

No, LOL. It is Imperial College London (I used the short form because everyone in my school uses it :P).

I saw on thestudentroom website that apparently ICL now sends out these tests because it can’t interview internationals. Many people have given it. However, I couldn’t get anything about the test anywhere on the internet.

If someone has given it, please reply ASAP.

BTW, the email states that I have been asked to write the test because I am a ‘qualified’ applicant.

Interesting- had heard that UCL did something like that, but hadn’t heard that about UCL. Just asked around a bit, and it seems to be specific to certain courses. What are you applying to read?
