I uploaded my 2014 tax documents via CSS IDOC service on February 6, 2015. After one week, I emailed them. No response. I spoke to a customer service rep this morning who said they were experiencing problems with the website that are affecting all applications. She told me not to worry, all the colleges know about it!
Still not done here either. I uploaded 12 days ago.
I uploaded mine on 2/3 and 2/4 and they all now show as having been received and “available to institution” as of 2/14.
Uploaded on 2/7 and 2/9; still no change. Glad to know that your docs are available to colleges, suzi100. Seems like it might take two weeks.
I uploaded on 2/9 and only one is showing as received. The rest are still just marked as uploaded. I can’t really worry about 2/15 deadlines if it isn’t my fault.
As a developer who has written report distribution software years ago (that is still being sold/used today) - I can safely say CollegeBoard is behind the times. This isn’t hard. I find it amusing that we all pay $16 per college to CollegeBoard for this service and all of these top notch schools have not questioned their service.
“I called them a couple days ago and was told they had finally hired some staff. Background checks, anyone?”…
“they were experiencing problems with the website that are affecting all applications”…
“As a developer who has written report distribution software years ago (that is still being sold/used today) - I can safely say CollegeBoard is behind the times.”
Feeling really great about this company having so much of my personal data and that of my child’s.
Not.
Most of mine are processed now, but some are wonky - like the Business/Farm Supplement I uploaded shows as still outstanding because the one I uploaded is marked as “owned by” my daughter. I called and they basically said “it’s all being funky check back in a couple of days if you uploaded everything it’s fine”.
I uploaded 2/6. This morning the documents still showed as uploaded, but not processed. Now most are in the “processed” category, but none are available to the colleges. And oh, the processed date is listed as 2/9.
I’m with suzy100 - no confidence in the College Board. They didn’t even have the courtesy to remove the FAQ that said uploads would be processed in 2-3 business days. I guess they hoped we wouldn’t notice the shoddy handling of our very sensitive personal and financial data.
It now says this in red under the processed documents section. None of mine from 2/9 have been processed yet.
“Processing is currently taking 5-8 business days from upload.
Schools are notified of your upload date and utilize that date in determining if you have met their deadline.”
Uploaded on 2/6. Finally processed today and available to the college. Mine also says processed on the 9th…
Uploaded on 2/9. All but one show processed today with date of 2/12. Do they think we will not notice the back dating? Also the one not processed is a 1040 with schedules that was a tad bigger than the limit. Wondering if it will get kicked out and I will have to upload the 1040 separately from the schedules.
I uploaded my docs on 2/12, and nothing has been processed yet. Yesterday I received an email from one of the universities reminding me to take care of this. I hope the colleges do know about the delay.
I uploaded on 2/04. Zilch. Nada. Just a bunch of lame excuses.
I contacted one college which informed me that “this system is so much better than the old way”. Well that’s just great.
Do you suppose the people they hired 3 weeks ago to match our docs have ever seen a 1040 before? We’re about to find out.
2/6 - uploaded documents.
2/18 a.m. - documents still showed as uploaded, but not processed.
2/18 p.m. - documents moved to the “processed” category, but none were available to the colleges. Processed date was listed as 2/9.
2/19 - documents are available to colleges.
Zero confidence in the College Board’s ability to protect our personal and financial information. The customer service reps did not impress me with their knowledge or interest to address a major system failure during their most active season. They’re only as good as their supervision and were certainly given a script to share with customers.
The information that we all were required to provide presents a great opportunity for misuse. After this unpleasant experience with the College Board, I’m going to look into a credit monitoring service. Good luck to all of us!
Wow, my docs uploaded 2/9 are now processed and available to institution as of 9/22. Curious the date was Sunday. Are they working weekends to handle the heavy load?
uploads: all on 2/12
processed: all appeared on 2/25 (not all at once), eight business days.
all with date processed 2/13, all available to schools,
no docs actually received by schools when checking finaid portals.
Uploaded 2/9, processed 2/12, available to institutions 2/24.
Will it say if the college has actually received the information?
Today is the due date at the college (Emory) and I see now that you can also fax the documents. I’m wondering if we should do that. The last communication from the college was on the 22nd (before IDOC said the documents were available), saying it was still missing. But the college says that their site may take 5-7 days to be updated, so it’s still in that window.
So is “Available to institutions” considered complete, or is there a next step, informing us that the college HAS the information?
Hi. I uploaded our documents to IDOC on 2/13, but they still haven’t been processed! I tried calling the customer service line, but the call center rep couldn’t provide any insight at all. Very frustrating. I get that there is a delay, but mine seems significantly longer than others have experienced in this forum. I’m just worried something’s not right. This is our first time going through the college application process, and I’ve been diligent in trying to do everything by the book. Anyone out there have any advise/insight as to whether I should be concerned about this IDOC delay? Thanks!!
You c an call a college or two but the idoc site says they’ve been notified and will count your upload date in considering if you filed on time.
