Um. Not having a 4.0 won’t kill ya.

Many people with something lower than a 4.0 got into really good schools, so you’ll be fine.

ah sweet i mean i dont really want to go to harvard just like usc, ucla, ucb.,and maybe stanford

4.0 unweighted is perfect, meaning straight A’s. Taking higher weighted courses won’t help with your unweighted GPA, just your weighted. A B+ is a 3.33 I think (my school is on a seven point scale, so we don’t have pluses or minuses). Keep in mind that most schools recalculate your high school GPA unweighted, so don’t kill yourself with a bunch of hard classes for a higher weighted GPA and higher class rank. As long as you’re top 10%, your transcript (grades for each class) is much more important than rank.

But seriously, one B+ will not kill you. I think it was Yale that said they look at a kid with four or so B’s about the same as a straight-A kid because of the variation in school difficulty. I kind of doubt the four B’s thing, but one (B+!) is certainly nothing to freak out about.

You’ll be able to get into those schools that you’ve listed even if you’ve got one B. Just keep it up!

do colleges also look at what hs you go to because mine is alot harder compared to all the other hs in my city.

I’m not sure, but I think so. It might depend on the college too.

Yes school and schedule rigor is considered.

relax lol…top colleges wont mind if you get a B, especially if its this early on

have fun with high school - you only get to do it once

No worries, even the crazy people on CC get B’s:) You still have plenty of time to compensate for it. You can do this by taking AP classes. Besides, I highly doubt a college wouldn’t accept you for having one B. You’ll be able to get plenty of A’s throughout high school. Best of luck!
