title says it all yo

Yes, just round to two significant digits. Assuming you have 32 classes in high school, one B and 31 As gives you a 3.97, which rounds to a 4.0. Problem solved.

No. And it’s not the end of the world either. Some schools even sabotage your 4.0 UW if you get an A-.

There are some ways out of it though…Which course?

No, Sorry. B+ = 3.3 GPA for that class. so depending on how many other grades you have, you can do the math…

math alg 1 honors

…Oh.

Then sorry. It might have worked out if it was a college course.

well i will be taking college courses in 11th and 12th grade if i do good in those will i be able to get an 4.0

No. Schools weight things unfairly. Some schools even treat college courses as regular courses.

And even if it was weighted, the best you could arrive at is a 3.99.

…Is that even possible? I’m not doing the math here…

Hey. Are you a freshman?

At my school, you need a 97.5%+ to get a 4.0, and no one has higher than a 3.9 UW. But then, the exact number really doesn’t matter, and no one is going to reject you for having a 3.97 instead of a 4.0.

no 8th grade but im in a high school math class and by the way ill be going to the 45th best hs in the nation so it will be hard with grades probly

A lot of universities don’t even look at your freshman GPA. Stanford for an example. Don’t sweat it.

…And does that Alg I class even go on your hs transcript??

If you’re in the 8th grade, then it won’t affect your high school GPA, which is what colleges will look at.

yes it will go on my hs transcpirct because it is considerd an highschool class

I thought hs transcripts only consist of classes you take during your hs years. Like in hs, when you take APs, they’re considered college classes but they don’t affect your college gpa.

I think you should talk to your counselor about this (high school or middle school). Schools vary too much for anyone to be sure.

You might come across as … too CC-like though…

Yeah, I agree with fairy_dreams. Ask your counselor to be sure.

well my teacher said they count so i dont think shell lie

No you will not have 4.0 despite whatever college classes you may be taking. A B is a B not an A. You might have 3.98 or something. But just not a 4.0.

The only way to get a 4.0 is to have all A’s and that is not the case in this situation.

is that bad

Nah, it’s not bad. You’ve just been hit with too much CC as an 8th grader.

You can get into top universities without a 4.0.
