<p>Navi, Nov22 I think both of you would get waitlisted. Your SAT Math scores are little towards the lowish side, and that’s the only thing that may have put you in the last pool of applications…</p>
<p>Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if females were given an advantage, to correct gatech’s bad male to female ratio… At least other major engineering colleges do this</p>
<p>However, I don’t think you’ll get an outright rejection…
Alot of gatech acceptances wouldn’t really enroll, the top students mainly use gatech as safety… So alot of waitlisted students do make it in…</p>
<p>Their turnover rate is what…40% of accepted students enroll? Yea, I guess that’s good. At this point, I’m oddy calm and collected about this (unlike yesterday, when I was having a breakdown!), so I guess w/l or even conditional acceptance isn’t the end of the world. And if a rejection comes, so what? Go to UGA transfer, or go to UGA, get your masters, and 30 years down the line, we can all laugh about these days.</p>
<p>I spoke with admissions yesterday and they looked up my records and said a decession was made and mailed out that day (Friday). Thats all the would say. I called them because they e-mailed me back when I e-mailed them to say my login screen had changed and was that a good thing or a bad thing. Their e-mail said to call them. </p>
<p>I’m expecting its a rejection. There would not of been any hard to say if someone was accepted. That combined with the fact that the login screen changed isn’t good. I can still get on Buzzport and Oscar but I think thats just the way GT does things and eventually that will close down too.</p>

<p>To be brutally honest, I doubt I got in either…but I’m hoping for waitlisted or conditional acceptance. I don’t think I’m low enough on the applicant pool to get an outright rejection, if I do say so myself. My Math SAT is pretty low (630!), but I know people with scores lower than that who have gotten in this year. On the other hand, I also know a friend who got rejected with 3.1 GPA, 680M, 620V. So I guess the GPA played a roll there.</p>
<p>Ordinary guy, are you sure that Tech even waitlists people? I assumed since they admit 70% of applicants, it was Accept, Conditional Accept, or Reject rather than waitlist…</p>
<p>Either way, we can transfer in. Though the requirements are strenuous, I’m sure we’re not complete idiots- we can still get on with our lives and lead prosperous lifestyles in the decades to come.</p>

That’s what’s keeing me calm right now :)</p>
