Illinoisans: WYSE?

My school got 1st in regional WYSE and now we’re going to Sectional WYSE and how do teams get chosen to go to state? Is there a cut-off score or is it so that the 1st place team goes? All the seniors are going away on a trip so now it’s mostly up to us freshmen and sophomores to win it.

I’m from Chicago and I don’t know what WYSE is lol. Is that bad?

It’s a state competition just in Illinois and Missouri (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering). It’s a science/math/english test-taking competition and not all schools are really big on it so it’s fine if you don’t know what it is initially.

Anyways, 55five55, I believe that the 1st and 2nd place teams at your sectional competition site will advance to state and there are cutoff scores for individuals in each subject to advance should the whole team not advance. What subjects do you compete in (I do chemistry and biology)?

I do math and biology.
Thanks Apoc314 :)
