<p>I am sure that there are more differences than the few I named. We do have more applicants, but we are filling less spaces, so this makes the selectivity issue similar to a number of schools. Last year we accepted 39% of our applicants, but this year that number is in the 40’s. We do have less applicants which means we can spend more time on each applicant, so in that sense, we are more similar to a smaller school like Haverford which has a very personalized process than to a national U or even a bigger LAC like Wes or Vassar. There are more differences than this I’m sure, but where I see a lot of similarities are in areas like, what we do with our time and what we value with an applicant; also, what info we have in our files. Anyway, this whole thread was really intended to focus on boarding school questions, but I probably should have posted that on the high school board.</p>
