Omg you’re a girl? For some reason i’ve thought of you as a guy. Wow lmao

Huh? I could be a guy and be worried about my safety at night >.> But yes, I’m very much so a girl. Lol. Don’t know how I give off that guy vibe though haha.

You don’t lol. Idk it’s just your username that I haven’t seen before . It just doesn’t scream GIRL to me. Ha. Sorry if that’s your name. And I looked through some of your old posts once I realized you could be a girl and figured it out .

Heh. Mizz… Miss? Tried to be cool by replacing my s’s with z’s. Well that’s a fail D:

^^^Are you Asian? You give off an Asiany vibe.

What the… are you psychic!?

I do mah best. Btw I only got an acceptance letter will I get another package later in the year with information on financial aid and housing and stuff?

Ya, they’ll start sending you stuff to sign up for orientation and things like that. For financial aid, just keep up with it on the website and be sure to send in anything they ask under your to-do list. CALL if there’s something wrong. I can’t explain how much I’ve called them to clear things up. It’s just much easier than sitting around asking people.

I want innnnnnnnnnnnnn lol It’s taking forever. I just want worrrdddd :/

Alright, I really wanted to live in the Towers, and after convincing my dad, I went on the housing reservation site thing and it turns out it’s a fall/spring/summer agreement So no apartment for me …

I read through this entire thread, and I’m torn between Libra, Nike, and Lake Claire.

Pros/cons?

Thank you for your help! (:

Why can’t you do it for all 3 terms?
And I’m not a student obviously, but when I visited I didn’t think Towers were worth it. Idk it’s nice but it’s too compact for me like too much trying to be squeezed into the space . But I liked Nike and Libra a lot. I actually liked Libra (not pod style, I forgot the other style… there’s two) kind of over Nike. Nike’s nice, but Libra’s location is closer to more stuff while Nike is close to the pool and gym and all that. Libra is more central. And the one I liked had a cool little L shape thing that still gives you some privacy. Oh and it’s supposedly really hard to get Lake Claire because it is the most central dorm and they aren’t that much, and its apt style. So they fill up really fast.
You haven’t visited? Idk if you’ve seen this but this site has video tours :http://www.housing.ucf.edu/choices/

I can’t do it for all three terms because it’s quite expensive compared to the dorms… and I’m out-of-state so I’ll be going home during breaks + the summer.

I’ve visited several times, and I’ve done the housing tour, but I don’t remember the dormitories in relation to the rest of the campus. I mean, like I have a map and everything but I just want to know which one is the BEST.

Like I said, I’m torn between a few styles.

:)

Uh Lake Claire is not central at all. It’s far from almost everything that’s not near the visual arts building, lol.

Libra is central, but I still prefer Nike and so does many people.

Towers is only good if you’re really gonna use the kitchen… but other than that, I think it’s way too overpriced.

Thank you so much for your help!
Yeah, I think I’m going with the Nike building :)

Actually, it was Apollo that I thought was closer to everything, but still… Nike would be the best option in my opinion.

Ohh really Mizz? Because when I went it was said multiple times that one reason that everyone wants Lake Claire is b.c of it’s central location… but yeah you would know so I guess not :)

Just a personal opinion of mines. Being near the visual arts building might be considered as ‘central’ for a lot of people, just not for me. Living in Nike, I don’t see that to be much of a problem, however. It still took me a lot of time to get to class. I always go 30 minutes prior to class time, but it’s good exercise, I suppose.

How’s the studying going?

Good I guess. I took the SAT last Saturday, ACT this weekend. I feel rather indifferent about it . Idk, it’s so hard not to give up when the “going gets tough.” I’m hanging in here though :/

Just to add to the towers housing comments…

I live in Tower 1 in a 4/2 and I really like it, however it really is too much to spend on a college dorm ($800/month). I do save on the meal plan though since I am able to cook in my kitchen. I plan on moving off campus after my lease ends in summer. I’ve started looking at apartments off campus and you can easily find a nice/safe one (with your own bathroom!) for around $550/month for a 4/4. If you want to rent a brand new apartment (Sterling Apartments) 4/4 those go for $670-680/month (the rooms are kinda small though). Anything is less than the Towers basically. But if you have the money and really like the Towers plus being on campus go for it! Being on campus is definitely a good idea for Freshman (you make more friends and become more involved in stuff).

I’m gonna be living on the main campus and going to Rosen, does anyone know where the bus comes to get you and how far of a walk it would be from Lake claire?
