<p>I got a C+ in Chinese freshman year and a C+ in World Hist sophomore year… last year and this year I have been a straight-A student. </p>
<p>Use this as an opportunity to have an upward trend! It looks great and is a major accomplishment. And try to take only APs that you feel like doing the work for :-)</p>
<p>It really sounds like you just need to get your act together, and seriously learn from your mistakes. If you’re a freshman taking AP World History then there’s no way that you’re stupid; now all you have to do is stop being lazy! As a freshman, you’re establishing your study habits. I might sound harsh, but if you’re looking at elite universities then you have to assume the role.</p>

I don’t care if I go to an Ivy or not as long as I am making enough money a year to buy a house with a tennis court behind with a theater room in the basement of the house lol. <–A house my genius friend lives in. </p>

<p>Daiea, are you sure? I’m getting an F and it would be a miracle for me to get a D which I rather get then an F…My freshman GPA is probably going to be like 2.8 by the end of the year…more like 2.1…</p>
<p>I don’t even deserve AP World. My BS teacher in 8th grade was the kindest teacher int he world. Think of a woman who always is happy and calm and never gives out detentions. A teacher that gave out tests at the 2nd grade level. A teacher who was so ignorant she wasn’t aware that half the class was cursing or just leaving the class and cutting. That’s what my teacher was. PLUS: I was in NON-HONORS last year. I didn’t bother to go into honors because her honors class took the tests that the other s.s teacher (who was serious about her job) gave to her regular non-honors students. It’s kinda funny. </p>
<p>I think the only way to get away from all this agony is by kill myself like the other poster said…It’s a last resort obviously.</p>

<p>Well it’s too late 1st semester. I will do, not try, to get all A’s 3rd quarter. Hopefully I can get my GPA to at least a 3.4-3.5 by the end of the year by getting all A+'s.</p>
