Impossible for Out of State Non-Athlete?

Is is nearly impossible to go to UVa if applying out of state and not as an athlete? My stats are above the mid-range but I feel I have no change simply because I’m: 1. NY resident 2. Purely Acedemic Thoughts?

they’re going to tell us in a couple days, so it doesn’t really matter at this point.

I know, I know. I just want to be prepared and not irrationally drain my emotions over the decision.

1 out of every 3 students can say it isn’t…

theman…the stats for OOS (which is what OP is) are closer to one in 4 or 5.

Don’t worry. I’m from IL, not an athlete (that thought is actually laughable), and I got a likely letter. You still got a chance. Same for this guy at my school, but he’s probably gonna be the president one day. I’m pretty average though :)

Im not really familiar with it though

what is a likely letter?

That will explain it better than I will.

Thank you everyone

Well, I was OOS, and not a recruit, and I got in. Plus, I was from new England. So I don’t think it’ll count too much against you. :)
