@mknsdh123 Hey I am a Naperville 8th grader as well. I was wondering what school you go to lol. That would be funny if we went to the same school
If you want to get in as an 8th grader, I would say at least 2100 composite. @mknsdh123
@YoloSwagMaster What SAT Score do you think I need to cover up my bad gpa?
Highest that you can get. If you need to get in as an 8th grader and have an ok GPA. I would say study as hard as you can, I am currently using SAT Study guide and Kaplan. If you get a 2300 that would be great.
@lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster My problem is the hard problems in math. For Crit Reading I just need to work on my vocal for the first 5 problems with the fill in the blank. My comprehension is good. With math I always miss the hard problems in the end. Like, the last 3 problems in the end. How can I be better at these problems? I use SAT Study Guide Blue Book as well.
@lsutiger25 Oh wow, when I was in 8th grade math was easy but reading was had d
@YoloSwagMaster How to study for the hard math question on SAT. Also how to study for the mini fill in the blank for the Crit Reading Portion
So a GPA of 3.5 can only be covered with SAT scores higher than 750 on math and reading? Man, I am studying really hard now. Ensuring myself a spot at IMSA. But, I will be devastated if I worked this hard and NOT make IMSA ;(. Choices, choices, its like you are working hard now to reach a school, but you do not get in ;(. I regret every day knowing my GPA from 6th grade⦠It screwed up my whole chance of getting into IMSA. I just hope the admissions councilor sees I have changed, and can handle IMSAās vigor. It would be great if someone comforted me on this forum ;-;
I mean at least get an SAT score of 2050, I would say. Iām just saying 750+ to be safe. When are you taking the test??? @lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster Octobor 3rd at Neuqua. This is more like to see where I am under the pressure. If I donāt do good I still have a lot more chances to take it. Also, remember that IMSA doesnāt care about writing section in SAT. So itās out of 1600
They now looks at the writing section @lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster Who told you that? I recently talked to Mrs.Banham, and she vaguely said they werenāt? Where is the evidence lol. Iāve been studying for only math and reading
I talked to 2 of the 3 admission counselors for that, they said they now have access to it but itās not a huge deal. @lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster What score does an 8th grader need in writing to get into IMSA
Idk man. I just figured this out. Probably 600 plus is good. @lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster Aight. When are you taking the sat btw?
October 3 and December 25. Hopefully I can knock out the first one and not worry about the 25th date. So I can focus more on school and clubs. Weāll see @lsutiger25
@YoloSwagMaster Are you taking it in Neuqua? It would be so cool to meet you! Also I just took another 3 hour SAT test and got 730 math, but 650 critical reading. I just canāt seem to do the fill in the blank questions
I can see if I can take it there. I usually take it at COD because it has nice classrooms but Iāll see if I can take it at Neuqua. @lsutiger25 Great math score CR score is good, if you get that score you should be ok.
