Imsa applicant class of 2019

@YoloSwagMaster If I get a good SAT score, do you think that it will counteract my bad GPA. Like even it out? Also, do you have skype? It will be easier to communicate through Skype chat honestly :smiley:

Yes. Yeah my skype is yolomcswagington13. Does anybody have school yet mine started on the 12

@lsutiger25

@YoloSwagMaster My school starts on the 20th, and I sent you a request through Skype :slight_smile:

Guys, i am a current sophomore in imsa, I got an 800 in math, a 670 in crit and 700 in writing. I was not a shmen, but even if you dont get in as an 8th grader, there is always 9th grade

Guys I need some help. What are more things 8th graders can do whenever they want that can be helpful for IMSA application. I am a normal man with things that most IMSA candidates have. The only special thing I have is doing Algebra 2/Trig this year. What are thing I can do now in 8th grade besides volunteering because I already did that!

@sawesome17 @YoloSwagMaster

@sawesome17. Your SAT score is really good. Did you just study by yourself to get that? I am working on getting an 800 score in math. Your other scores are really good.

Your kinda scaring me here man

@YoloSwagMaster Aha on a side note, I heard that 90% of the people who got into IMSA in 8th grade, declined, and applied the next year have gotten in. That information might ease you a little. Also, since you got in as an 8th grader. What type of activities did you do when you applied that year :stuck_out_tongue:

I did a lot of activities. Robotics, scholastic bowl, mathletes, njhs, model un, and interact

And tennis

@lsutiger25

Anyone taking SAT on october 3rd at Neuqua?

There really isn’t as much people in the 2019 thread then there was in the 2018 thread. Hopefully more come, or maybe nobody is applying and we’re golden. :smiley: @lsutiger25

@YoloSwagMaster Ahah it would be awesome if we were in an off year where not as much people applied :smiley:

Aye. So, this year my middle school decided to incorporate a robotics team. This team was open to 6, 7, and 8th graders. Although, the team only had 24 spots. We had to fill out an application with STEM related questions on it. In the school, 130 people applied for one spot. I was accepted into the robotics team. How much would IMSA care about this?

A lot. I was accepted into robotics with 4 spots to represent by grade and I think they liked that. I went to state for it so try to do that as well. Are you talking about FLL

@lsutiger25

@YoloSwagMaster Oh I think its that. Anyway, the site says the application opens October, 2015. Do you know like if its early October or late October?
