Imsa applicant class of 2019

@lsutiger25 Yeah, I have no idea when in October.

Ok as you know my GPA is really really bad because of how I screwed up in 6th and half of 7th grade. But Ive been getting really good SAT scores. I am just scared about the GPA. So, I am currently taking Algebra 2/Trig at the College of Dupage on Saturdays while doing Geometry at school. If I ca get a 4.0 for the first semester of my Algebra 2/Trig class, would this be a great deal for admissions.

Ofc

So how do you guys think you did on the SAT. Man I am scared cause it was my first time taking it :frowning:

I think I did fine. It wasn’t anything different for me. @lsutiger25

Applications open October 30. @lsutiger25

@YoloSwagMaster Yeah I just saw. About 6 people are applying to IMSA from Scullen Middle School. Honestly I do not know if I would accept the IMSA invitation if I do get in because Neuqua is a pretty good school as well lol.

I’m so confused, I just read all the posts from previous years and there were soo many people. I want more people so I can compare. I’m hoping more people come once the applications start.

@YoloSwagMaster True. However, due to the decline of posters on the forum this year, we may get a break in IMSA admissions :D. That would be awesome! Also, many people have been telling me that IMSA is going to close down soon due to budget cuts. Like, they are government funded, but the government is lowering the amount of money given to IMSA.

@lsutiger25 I would be so happy if there was a decline. But the probability of that happening is very low, number of applicants has been increasing substantially and it is very rare to see a dip in these kinds of things.

@YoloSwagMaster Yeah. I went on a two hour tour yesterday at IMSA, and they said that this year they are going to be a little more lenient in grading applications because of budget cuts. IMSA experienced budget cuts because of how many asians go to the school. Not enough blacks or latinos. They are grading a little more leniently to let in other races, and have diversity among the school.

Wait, we are asians so that sucks for us

@lsutiger25

@YoloSwagMaster well it hurts us and helps us. They are reducing the amount of asians, but they are also increasing the amount of people admitted.

How. They always allow the max amount of people that will fit in there dorms

@YoloSwagMaster Aha I do not know man.

Aye btw do you think my ecs are good enough for IMSA.
