National Merit Commended Scholar (I had it sent to UVA)

Senior year courseload: AP Art, AP English, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics, Dual Government

Upward grade trend: Straight A’s Junior year (for each semester and year end grades)

I think, and have been told, that my essays are very strong. Also, I have a sister who is a fourth year at UVA now.

Intended major: Art History

In terms of numbers GPA and SAT I think you have a strong chance. My only hesitation is that my data applies to NoVa students. I have heard stories about other parts of the state where only the Val and the Sal get in. Make sure your rec’s are great.

Based on NoVa numbers I still think you have a great shot.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response! My school usually has 10-15 students get in each year, so hopefully the pattern will continue!

And I forgot, I’m also taking Spanish 4 this year.

bump please?

duh, you’re in, apply to Duke and Brown too 'cause you are a shoe in at UVA.
