My father is in the US military, and we currently live in Italy. We’re moving to Kansas this year. I’m a Missouri resident.
I’m not using my father’s post 9/11 GI bill. Will I still get in-state tuition for any state because I’m a military dependent?
I’m pretty sure the answer is yes. Kansas State University lists the following as meeting residency requirements, so I’d assume other public universities there do the same -
You are a current member of the armed forces of the United States or the member’s spouse or dependent child. “Armed Forces” means the army, navy, marine corps, air force, coast guard, Kansas army or air national guard or any branch of the military reserves of the United States.
You are a veteran, or the spouse or dependent child of a veteran who is currently eligible for federal education benefits for veterans.

Check with the schools to be 100% sure. But most state schools offer in-state tuition for military and their dependents.
You’d think (or at least hope) a university would know to capitalize proper nouns like Army, Navy, Air Force…
Agree that you should check with the schools. No reason to guess about this.
