What have you learned besides the content material?

What do you mean by that? Please rephrase.

I’m not sure how I would rephrase it but besides content, some might say that they’ve learned study skills, time management skills, and maybe teamwork from going to college classes.

Ohh… Time management is definitely one, but I wouldn’t attribute it to any one class. It’s just the overall college experience that made me develop it. Trying to balance personal errands, studying, work and a social life was definitely a challenge for me.

I learned how to work better with others in many of my classes that required semester-long group projects. I ended up being the team leader in most of them and found myself “managing” the projects, i.e. dividing work among members, setting internal deadlines, etc.

Not to get three hours of sleep for two weeks in a row. It really screws with your head.

Also, I learned I’m smart and can do a lot of things if I try.

agreed^ I’ll be reading some pages and suddenly find myself in a half dream/half awake state seeing things that don’t make sense. I’ll wake up and the same thing will happen again in another 20 min. It happens in class too.

Time management. Well, that’s an ongoing thing, but I am getting better ![]()
The necessity of having an open mind. It is really true that classes in which you are open to learning the material and applying it to your life will have a positive impact on you.

You definitely learn how to work with people and learning to listen to other people’s ideas, even if you don’t agree with them. Being respectful to opposing ideas, etc.
I’m still not very good with time management even as a last-semester senior, haha, but I try.
