Violator!! I am so happy for you!! See, you were getting unnecessarily depressed! Seriously, i am very happy for you… you had really psyched yourself out, right? VERY WELL DONE.

Lol hell yeah I was psyched out… i checked brown last so it was rejection after rejection till Brown Happened.

Namrata congrats on Harvard !!!Very well done yourself!! where you gonna go though Harvard or Cornell?

Sorry to hear about the rejections people.
IML, your rejections coupled with Silverturtle’s rejections just made me really sad.
You both are awesome people, and deserved to get in. Admissions are just such a random process…
But then, you do still have UCLA, and Silver has UChicago, and that makes me happier.

I dunno what I shall choose, I’m torn between Harvard and Princeton…so I might visit.
Out of the two, I saw Princeton’s first, and after that, I really didn’t care much. I just feel incredibly lucky, and it doesn’t make me happy to see so many similarly qualified applicants get rejected. Admissions are just such a random process here…
But I am sure that wherever we all go, we’ll all be happy. I choose to go to H/P over Smith because I believe that being a small fish in a big multi-talented pool should do me good. To be in such a student body where each second would tell me that there are still so many people similarly/more qualified than I am is what I had been wanting, and I am grateful that I was fortunate enough to get it.
I don’t think that it is possible for anyone to spend a year at whichever school they go to, and not end up falling in love with it. That’s college, it’s the community where you make lifelong friends. I feel fortunate to know many of you, and I am sure you shall do well wherever you go. Plus, from whatever I know all your acceptances, everyone has been accepted into at least one really whopping good school, and that is something that I am happy about! :)

But some of the friends I have made on CC are really invaluable, and I hope that we remain in touch even after going through this awfully frustrating, tiring, irritating journey together and learning so much together. I mean it. I really respect and admire some of you, and I really hope that you shall remain in touch after this too.

And to those who got accepted anywhere…I’m losing track of all these decisions, well CONGRATULATIONS!!

@Pixie : You were getting nervous for no reason at all CONRAAATS!
So from now on just believe in your self :). And if you decide to go to Harvard please
try and keep away from the infamous trend known as the ‘Harvard 5 minute rule’
Just kidding, you’re too awesome to become like that :D

@Violator: CONGRAAATS! So jealous of you Brown was my first choice but meh
knowing that someone as qualified as you got in makes me a lot less jealous
coupled with the fact that I was fortunate enough to get accepted at Penn :)

Congrats everyone! And hugs everyone else! I spent the last two days trying to convince myself I wouldn’t get in anywhere, and the merits of the Indian education system, and trust me there are quite a few. Hugs, yaay, everyone.

CONGRATS everyone who got in!!
CONGRATS: desparado for YALE!! ; Nitcomp for CORNELL!! Violater for BROWN!! (see, you were getting worried for nothing!), Pixie for HARVARD, PRINCETON AND UPENN!!; collegebeckons for HAVARD and CORNELL!!; mynameisv for UPENN!! tiyas for CORNELL!!

Sorry to all the rejects. I got rejected from H and Columbia. Oh well, not too upset. WE WON THE MATCH! And I have Swat and Middlebury!! You guys deserved it a lot more. :)

How did you guys get your Harvard decisions?

Congrats tiyas and Puttu
I think I figured why I was accepted to Penn and this is my advice to the Class of 2016 (soon to be blowed into a thread):
My essay was titled ‘The Pen, …’ (So the moral of the story is make sure your essay title subtly suggests the name of your favorite Ivy).
Example:
‘On Being Brown’
‘The Prince of Tone’
‘My adventures with Columbus’
‘Harvard’
‘Open Your Mouth for a Dart’
‘Yaleow’ (A new greeting)

Congrats on your college decisions, everyone! Hopefully you got into a college that you really love–or are about to fall in love with very soon!
Also, Penn pre-frosh–if there are any of you out here, feel free to send me a message (:

WOW congrats all you guys
So Vishwa, is it Penn or Berkeley?? Please say Penn!!

Congratulations everyone!

I’m pretty much gonna go off CC from now onwards. If vacation boredom drives me insane you’ll see me ■■■■■■■■ here once in a while.
If anyone wants to get in touch, feel free to send me a message.

CC was awesome. I made a number of friends, aside from the invaluable advice given to me by everyone, which is probably the reason why I got into Carnegie Mellon! :)

Thank you once again. You guys are awesome :D

And this year really has been good for all applicants. Much, much better than last year! Best of luck, '16ers.

Might not go off CC right NOW. But I’ll quit once I’ve decided which college’s offer should I accept.
Some questions, some pros n cons and some threads on their forums would help me very much. I’ve to decide b/w
UCLA
UIUC
GTech
USC
I’m here till then …

GTech all the way baby.
Or Illinois if your doing Comp Sci.
