well desi’s better than being called indian when you’re like paki/bengali. but honestly when my school’s sasa was called desi club it was like … what the hell is desi?

if you really don’t like your culture that much, then dont like your culture. but dont come here and give your little idiotic commentaries that honestly no one cares about.

ya same here i didnt like RNBDJ, but wat i want to watch is Chandini Chowk to China which seems hilarious and plus it has Akshay Kumar. Who cant love him and hera pheri? lol i just came across this thread, so anyone in their senior year of high school yet?

Junior.
Dude, I really want to see Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. I’ve basically been watching Indian movies all break (mostly Telugu). Most of them are horrible, but they’re so bad that they’re good
edit- oh, and I really want to see Slumdog too but I can’t bear to pay $9 for a movie

I’m a Tamilian and I’m very proud of my culture, but I’d hesitate to wear sarees/salwars to school on normal days. I used to do bharatanatyam and folk dance, but I stopped in 8th grade. I guess you could call me a conservative Indian, in that my philosophies tend to be the same as most Indian parents, but I also love American culture. :)

It’s nice to know that there are more of us Carnatic vocalists in CC!

Oooh yeah I also took AP CompSci (my dad “forced” me to).
