~Sucharita:
“SHABIN- right now I am definitely NOT a Hindu…I flirted with a whole lot of religions for around two years.”

Sucharita, all religions consists of the same principles and teachings at the core, but presented in different styles, languages and with different examples. One thing that you may notice is that the
Violence perpetrated by a religion is proportional to the size of support it enjoys’. It becomes necessary for the religion to protect its base as a small number will always try out other religions. Similarily, it becomes necessary to propagate and preach the greatness of ones religion to reflect and retaliate percieved competition that arises from the case said earlier. Finally, the original virtues gets lost amidst the preachings of greatness and worth of ones religion. It has happened to all the major religions, especially Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. I must admit that after having read the scriptures of many religions, I felt that Hinduism is the most violent from start to finish: glories of killing, wars, raping etc. to defend and protect ones
dharma’ which can anything including anyones prejudices. It was the
dharma’ of Hindus to revenge the rule by Muslims in India, so comes Pakistan. It was the
dharma’ of Hindus to revenge the better architecture by Muslims in a place perceived to belong to a character from the Hindu mythology, hence the Babri Masjid demolition at Ayodya. It was the
dharma’ of Hindus to revenge the Muslims who were denying permission to erect a temple at Ayodya, so the
reaction of the majority community against the minority community’ in 2002. The `dharma’ of hinduism is, for the most part, one of the most violent amongst all religions. It has competition only from Christianity, which feels competition from Islam.

Callthecops, some questions here.
- What does “cronie” and “patao” mean? Does
PATAO’ stand for Peresonal And Training Analysis Office? But then, it does not make any sense to me.
- Which Kelly are you speaking about? For I did not find any reference to any
Kelly’ in the Indian Thread.

Edit link? Where? I can’t see any.
Maybe, I posted the last post 20+ minutes earlier, so it must have got `locked’.
But Prashant, what if someone finds my post disturbing and I need to delete/edit/censor it?

SHABIN

Edit Link! Now I see it!

Thanx Prashant.

You can also use the “Report Offensive Post” feature if it’s past 20 minutes and your really think the post should be deleted.

Haha Shabin… I can see you getting anxious about Kelly
She’s not the MIT prefrosh you’re thinkin of… she’s an adcom at Princeton.

patao = lure ;)

"Haha Shabin… I can see you getting anxious about Kelly

It’s not anxiety, my friend, but a little wonder did I have as to which Kelly was being referred to, since I have never seen anyone by that name in the Indian Thread, though I have never the big Indian Thread in its full size.

Will reporting a post to be offensive affect the person’s account who had posted it, as something like getting black-listed?

Prashant,

I think that you are quite an expert on Computers and Internet, so I want to ask you a question about something which my friend has showed me just now.

First do the following:
- Use the language translate tool of google
- Type “my mom is nice and cool”
- Translate from English to Spanish.
- And then back from Spanish to English.
- What do you see?

Question:
Why does such a thing happen upon back-translation?

-SHABIN

:D thats a nice find Shabin…:D

Hello Adides!

Do you have any idea as to why it happens?

hell no…but i am sure glad that it happens…will be a lot of fun when i take SPA 101 this fall :p
