k… never heard of that…

what you giving it for? building up a resume? or just for kicks?

having fun.

and if i get through, it will be a huge boost to my resume.

Dont think ill get through, though. Its been months since i even saw a C++ compiler, and ive never even used the GCC compiler.

Oh - when JEE screening results come out - NOONE POST YOUR RANKS HERE. Open a new thread if you like, but not here.

i don’ t think american univ’s truely appreciate competitions like INOI etc
but im sure their insanely difficult.
(even i hadn’t heard of it)

if ur doing it to build ur resume i’d suggest you take up something like debating/model UN/ drama

those, according to me, r what the univ’s notice.

but then again- do what you like…

Who cares about american unis? I dont do anything just for them.

No time for drama(no interst, either), no access to model UN, maybe debating -but i generally find out about the damn things too late…

well what r u building up a resume for then?

i don;t think any indian univ needs a resume. all they want is marks.

Im building up a resume for myself. I think you seem to have forgotten that there is life beyond undergrad admissions

resume for yourself

thats interesting…

if u enjoy giving random exams, then its your perogative. personally i dont study any more than is required.

because i’ve recognized life beyond studies.

Shash: Good luck for the INOI
Its an amazing opportunity, give it your best shot.

hey flamethrower dont diss my hometown ! ( well atleast one of them along with delhi )

Thought the rents in Chennai are incredibily backwards in their thinking ( they think its still the medieval ages) kids still date and you can always see them in cofee shops shpoppoing malls and anywhere else.

but yeah I am SO glad that i have lived most of my life in delhi!

and shash dont listen to flame, its equually important to have a life resume. SOmehow it sounds much more better to hear you have done so and so and so than say you got into a good college and thats it for the last 18 yrs of your liife. flame I am sure you have several worthy mentions too ( you probably cant rememeber them:) )

adios

:::NOMAD:::

“SOmehow it sounds much more better to hear you have done so and so and so than say you got into a good college and thats it for the last 18 yrs of your liife.”

exactly…but it does not have to be all related to studies…we have gone over this time and time over again…but there is more to life than just books…and that is to have fun…to have a blast, unlike 99% of the people out there…to go out…do stupid, silly stuff…and just have fun…

trust me…20 years from now…you might not remember a single thing about quadratic equations…but you will remember a hell lot of things about those wild times around the town…those school bunking days…those drunken nights…those basketball games…those first dates, etc. etc…

and those first nobel prizes :D
