Boiler Up! From a house divided! LOL! I finally got one to apply to IU! Whoo hoo! Now she just needs to get in! January 15 will be here sooner than we know.
It has been very quiet for IU admission posts this week - assuming will hear back after the new year at this point.

We received an invite to apply for SSA at Kelley but have not been admitted to Kelley yet (petition submitted a few months ago). Is that any indication petition will be successful? Why would we apply for SSA if we aren’t sure Kelley is even going to accept my son?

This afternoon, we received a package from Hamilton Lugar containing swag and a letter confirming that the kiddo received both direct admission and a $2K/yr direct admission scholarship. Also mentioned SSA and the Hamilton Lugar Day event in a couple of months. All very cool and unexpected.

After seeing the above post about Lugar direct admit day, I googled “Kelley direct admit day” … and the days are posted! Direct admits can go ahead and register! I called the Biddle and they have a block of room reserved if you want to book a hotel room on campus. Go Kelley!

My S is a direct admit to Kelly with deans scholarship and was accepted to Hutton honors. The school sent two mailers because they omitted to mention his acceptance to Hutton in the first letter, even though it was stated on the portal. Theee was no separate invite to apply to any additional scholarships. It may come next year, after other schools come out with their acceptance decisions, as a way to entice the kids IU wants to bring onboard.

Also Dean’s scholarship of $3K/year in package mailed to house.

We are a point under for test scores but way over for GPA
