It actually says ā€œin progressā€ now with the deferral message below it. It showed ā€œapplicantā€ right until when the deferral hit, at which point the ā€œapplicantā€ became ā€œin progress.ā€

Good question. My guess is they use the highest gpa off your high school transcript and enter it into their systemā€¦and thatā€™s where these numbers come from. I will look and see if I can find more details.

WGPA 3.5 and deferred. Disappointed but thatā€™s the decision as of now. Good luck to all.

I agree with this. Many new england high schools are having a wake up call right now given the sheer amount of deferrals from our supposedly ā€œhighly regarded and eliteā€ public schools.

It is so tough, @kittybecks, but I hope he realizes soon how his resilience and determination matter so much more than which college he attends. Heā€™ll take that strength of character with him everywhere and will bloom wherever he is planted.

does anyone know for deferment, if you want to send a letter of continued interest if you send it to your regional counselor or the iub admissions office

Appears to me that today is heavy on denials and deferrals. I will tell my son to brace for that possibility since we still havenā€™t heard. Were there any acceptances today? Thanks

Here in NJ seems like itā€™s yet another year of the deferralsā€¦ it prob doesnā€™t help that we all apply in droves to all the same schools. :woman_shrugging:t3:
