Thanks. yeah, we visited as well and went to a game (pre coach Prime) We’ve been to Denver a few times as Bronco fans. Really liked CU. In fact, we have seen all the schools I mentioned with the exception of the 2 he was accepted to (MSU, Charleston). Because his record is a bit spotty, we casted a wide net.
good to hear… also accepted @ MSU… awaiting invite to Broad school of business to see if it’s a real contender… ice and snow for a SoCal kid will be a rude awakening…
My arbitrary guess is that the final wave will come on Monday. Not in the weekend. I am assuming that when they agreed on Jan 15th as the deadline, they were aware that it was a public holiday. So it may have been a conscious decision by AOs to either wrap up by Friday or work on Monday and get it done.
Good luck to everyone waiting!
MLK isn’t a holiday in every state, not sure about Indiana.
From IU website:
- The university observes ten holidays and closes all offices except where continuous service is essential. Eligible employees are excused from work and receive their regular pay for these days.
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Campus Holiday
1. Accrues on March 1 of each year - Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
How long after acceptance did anyone hear about direct admit to Honors College?
Does anyone happen to know if a deferred applicant can change their intended major for regular decision?
Call on Tuesday and ask.
I’m wondering % of people who have NOT been notified. If AO’s observe MLK day then really don’t know when decision will be come. Unfortunate for those waiting that they didn’t find out on the 12th.
I know of two that just found out they were accepted- one late at night on the 12th, and the other this morning on the 13th.
It is my understanding that IU does not admit by major. You are admitted to the U and then your file is sent to the college your major is in to see if you are direct admit to that major. If that is true, then I’m not sure changing your major would help.
Yes, I’m wonder how many on this forum are still waiting. - Anyone still waiting here?
We are, it’s grueling knowing so many already got their decision.
Waiting as well.
Until it is Jan 16 and IU has not sent decision no reason to speculate. If you haven’t heard by end of day Jan 15 every reason to be annoyed.
Our son is still waiting and received an email that due to the number of applications received they expect to have a response no later than February 1st.
When did he get that email?
Last night at 11pm
That is very disappointing to hear from IU that they may delay 2 weeks. Don’t promise what you cannot meet.
Thank you for sharing on here.
