What is the way to peg (or estimate) what Kelley would estimate for a TO kid with a 3.85 UW/4.33W GPA (and high rigor, esp supporting the major - AP stats, AP econ, AP calc BC?).

Several friendsâ kids were really messed up due to the covid restrictions at colleges. Solitary confinement without enough food for 2 weeks b/c a friend of theirs tested positive - so much for due process. A lot of kids that were freshman in college who ended up dropping out of college, having nervous breakdowns, taking time off, and certainly transferring. It is unforgivable. And it absolutely impacted the colleges we applied to.
Take your Deanâs amount (assuming by name you are OOS) and if itâs closer to 8k-9k itâs around a 1370-1400 or if itâs closer to 6k itâs around a 1320-1340. Whether you were invited to SSA also would be another estimate of where IU and Kelley see a probable test score - if not then in that 1340 range. Kelley doesnât really care about the classes close to your major or ECs frankly. They care about AP Calc AB (and BC), APUSH, AP Lit, AP Chem/Physics/Bio. Like any other selective college.

Thanks, he was offered 6k and SSA. He has AP calc, world (not US), language & lit, and honors phys (we donât have AP phys) and some others not on your list.

help! I was admitted monday (jan 8), and now I just got an email saying im defered? My portal has also changed to defer. I am OOS, 4.0 UW gpa, 32 act, 7 AP classes, and several strong ecs. I have a picture of my acceptance, should I try emailing admissions before I fill out the deferal supplementals?
No, you should call admissions in the AM, or at lunch break, and note that you have an image of acceptance.
Assume admission and let them tell you itâs a mistake.
Get a name and email of who you speak with - so you can send the image directly to someone after you speak.
Take a deep breath. With those stats, you have lots of acceptances.

scholarship help please!
S24 DA to Kelly last week. Received an email to apply for scholarship (with honors, EC, and up to 1000 words essay) I assumed it was GSA? After submission, the scholarship site gave a few other âscholarship opportunitiesâ, are those SSA?
The scholarship site also shows he received The IUB-Hutton Honors Scholarship, is that a annual scholarship or a one time thing?
Is there any other action to take after submitting GSA? There are scholarships listed in the Recommended section with an Appt button. Do we need to click on that button to apply for those ones, or does GSA is applicable to them?

Turns out my son has an 86/100 which equates to slightly below the 3.5 on 4.0 scale. He received the essay request and completed it. Assume they will also look at mid-year grades before final decision on him or any other EA deferred applicants.

My friendâs son had this occur (class of 22). He was able to submit mid-year grades (NJ) and gain admission. Sending ++++ vibes!

i just called Kelly and the official word on review request is that you can expect to hear by April 15. It may be earlier. No one has heard from review request thus far. Sounds like a long wait ahead for us.

Thanks, does anyone know how the merit scholarship works for IU? Do we need to be approved for kelley to get Dean or Hutton honor scholarship for OOS students or are they not dependent on being admitted to Kelley or not?
