Indiana University - Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

Could you see that they downloaded it by looking at Common App? Or in Naviance if your school uses that platform?

All (or nearly all) schools will automatically download the mid-year report on the common app. That does not mean they will recalculate or load them at the admissions level. It’s my understanding Michigan requires it for grades available through mid-Feb if decision has been deferred (postponed in Michigan speak). It would be really unusual for IU on similarly deferred students to not utilize the mid-year report. Specialized DA programs would not use it. The concept is apples to apples - if I’m evaluating a pool I want common data. If it’s deferred students with regular decision who might have applied post-first semester grades - I want that.

Your high school may have chosen to send them, but those colleges do not automatically request them from the counselors.

Congrats to your son! Is he auditioning in early March then? What is his major? My youngest (a daughter) is auditioning in Voice this Friday. My 2 oldest kids attended Jacobs, and my oldest was in Hutton Honors College if you have any questions about that.

I can see it on Common App

My son needed them for a few of his RD schools and the counselor said they only need to submit once via Naviance to Common App and any of his schools on Common App would have access to them. It appears as though, even the ones he had already been accepted to, downloaded them.

Interesting. We are on school links which seems to make everything as painful as possible.

Thank you! He applied for BS Audio Engineering and his interview is March 2. It was the only weekend that worked for us with his crazy schedule, but I am glad it worked out that we could combine it with a Red Carpet Day. Best of luck to your daughter this weekend!

Thank you!

My son interviewed for the audio engineering program back on 1/12! Good luck to your son!

@mK7402 thanks! I think I remember seeing that your son also interviewed on the music major thread.

Yes!
I can’t keep track of these boards! :joy:

Is end of the day tomorrow the last day to submit Kelly petition application?

Anybody know when SSA and other merit may be announced? I know they are all due tomorrow.

My son just submitted his SSA and the confirmation e-mail said that each college reviews them individually and has their own timeline but I think it said that it should be by the end of March.

Does submitting housing ASAP increase your chances of getting your preferences? or, does submitting by May 1st (the priority deadline) help you just as much?

For general housing: it’s not first come first served. So there is no difference between submitting today or by May 1.

However: some LLCs (living learning communities) or Thematic communities (affinity-based) have their own deadlines & processes to apply for a spot.

Here’s a list of them

When did everyone receive their red letter? I was admitted direct into Kelley on 1/14 and have yet to receive my physical acceptance letter along with the details on scholarships aid etc. Thank you

Ours took at least two weeks. Hang in there…should be soon.

Son accepted IU on 1/9 and nothing in mail yet. However, scholarship info was received in email.
