It’s near if not actually 100% admissions assuming it’s just 2 high schools from your question. For DA days? They have to see it. I would email and call Kelley admissions and ask that question based on wanting to attend DA days.
As for Dean’s scholarship they do email that, I cannot remember if it’s prior to receiving the packet or after.
My son attended two high schools and the high school will not put a GPA on the transcript, but he qualifies on both GPA and test scores. I will have him call. Thank you!
Thanks!! My boys aren’t the best about checking their email so I will check in with them as their admittance date was about the same as yours. Did you get anything in regular mail yet?
This happened to my daughter as well and it’s been incredibly frustrating. She had to email and call to have them put the correct gpa in! And to ALL of her schools ! That’s how fast they are all moving. Quick gpa look and onto the next.
Having a “friendly debate” with my son about whether to proactively submit mid-year grades after IU deferral. He submitted the requested statement/essay and thinks that is sufficient. Only wants to submit grades if requested. I think better to send anyway. Note they are in line with GPA. No real improvement or decline. Thanks all!
Test optional son was notified of Hutton direct admit on 1/25 (IU admit date was 12/1), which was a nice surprise and glad we don’t have to bother with a petition. We have a long wait until we find out about Jacobs admission, though. Excited to be attending Red Carpet Day on 3/1. We are OOS and will be our first visit.
Can anyone explain the IU Scholarships? I just completed my general application. Does that mean I am automatically able to receive scholarships or is this just the first step I needed to take to apply to other scholarships?
Fill out general scholarship application - wait. Fill out any applicable recommended opportunities applications - wait. Probably will receive nothing (this is 99% of applicants) - look into financial aid to attend IU and learn the lovely lesson on student loans and then in 6 years from now learn the lovely lesson on paying them back, attend meeting with Bank of Parents to pay for college, complain about cost of attendance but pay it for the privileged who can afford it, or attend cheaper institution. Reality of the Feb-May 1 process.
Hear!hear!we are all over our S24 to apply for scholarships, believe the deadline is tonight, but not sure. And he is like “you got this covered, right?”
If his guidance counselor has submitted the Common App mid-year report, then schools already have access to his mid-year grades. In my kid’s case, even the schools that did not ask for the mid-year report downloaded it within 48 hours of it being uploaded, including schools that had already accepted her.
