S25 applied today!
GPA 3.98 u/w; 4.26-4.4 w depending on school; 31 ACT (taking again in sept)
EC/volunteering/work: mostly revolve around sports (football and basketball)
Major: economic consulting in Kelley

D25 just applied! GPA 4.0 u/w, 4.4 w. 33 ACT, 1480 SAT. 7 AP classes and extra curriculars focused heavily on business. She will be an Accounting major, and Kelley is high on her list. IU’s campus is gorgeous, so that’s a plus too!

S25 applied last week. GPA 4.7 w, 3.8 uw. Test optional. Has taken 4 APs with 2 more this year. H math and sciences. Applying to Jacobs School of Music. Extra-curriculars and leadership are 90% band and music related.
Question- for those of you whos students have applied already, has anyone gotten their email with portal link? My S has not. I found on website that theyll start being sent out in mid August, so Im not as concerned now.

My kid called to inquire about the portal link - they said they implemented a new system and it is not functioning. They are aware that most didn’t receive a portal link.
Thanks. My son has an email in. Did they say if your kid needed to do anything or if they were just “working on it”?
They acknowledged that it was entirely on their end and that my son didn’t have to do anything further.

I called and was not told of the glitch, just that theyd be going out within a week. When I mentioned that my son cannot access the application for the Jacobs School of Music without an IU ID, she said he’d have to wait for the email and that she cannot give it. The music school application opened Sept. 1, but i suppose no one is able to start working on the application.
