this is not accurate. They start reviewing the Kelley petitions only after Feb 1st. They explicitly mentioned that during one of the virtual sessions, that it doesnt matter when you petition as long as its done before Feb 1st.
However, I’d say that don’t keep high hopes from petition reviews this year. I dont think they’d have a lot of acceptance spots remaining after the automatic direct admits due to increased volume and interest in Kelley. They accept near about 8k Kelley applicants every year; I’m sure they’d be close to this number with just automatic directs.

I agree with this. I would expect petition direct admittance to be extremely low give the number of applicants who are automatically DA and the limited number of spots. If you look back on the Kelley DA Petition thread from last year, very few were offered spots.

My daughter received her OOS (NJ) acceptance DA to arts and sciences just now for law.

That’s actually not true. I know there were many that received petition admits prior to Feb 1st. Maybe not this year? But I’m hears last should do petition as soon as portal is available.

Adding she applied test optional w/ 3.8 gpa.

For those who were DA to Kelley, before you were accepted what did the portal say for “school”? My daughter has DA stats, her major says “Finance BSB”, but for school it says “pre-business” instead of Kelley. And how often are kids not accepted who have DA stats? She has a 1460 SAT and a 4.52 WGPA with 12 AP/DE classes and good ECs, OOS. I’m a little worried because she didn’t hear anything yesterday.
I believe so, since my son’s did say Kelley in the first sentence. Good luck!!

My son’s said pre-business up until this morning when he got his acceptance that says Kelley. She has the stats so it should be fine, but honestly i was also still super worried until i actually got the acceptance.

She submitted 10/6 but the school didn’t send everything over until 10/16. Hang in there - your’s is coming!

I submitted my app as a direct admit to Kelley on Nov 1st. My transcript still shows up as missing in the portal. That said, my admissions counselor at IUB says they have it, it is just that their system is running incredibly slow. Don’t know why it’s taking this long.
