Yes we also got this email to submit the honors part. Since the deadline for Honors is Jan1st per the Status Portal, haven’t submitted it yet. Not sure if thats holding up the decision. Same thought.
My son applied to Hutton but did get his IU and direct admit acceptance when they started rolling out on 12/11. He is an In-State applicant so not sure if that makes any difference. Applying to Hutton didn’t hold up anything on our end.
Are you international student? I am international but didn’t get any invite to apply for hutton honors yet.

Would love to know if kids were always able to get into Canvas from their one IU account? Or is that a change ?
I don’t actually know in this case nor do I know why it matters, but its very normal for an applicant pre admission to be able to access canvas thru the University computing account at any school. Canvas would synch with all logins as part of integration processes. The University does not separately turn on “Canvas” like at a high school.
Not sure about others but we are still not able to get into Canvas…

International EA Applicant, applied 10/15. Atlas portal still shows school transcript awaited. It was submitted by my school 10/21!
SAT score showing received since last Friday. Self reported in Common App.
Not heard from IU yet. Anyone else in similar situation? Thx
Similar but after a week or two, they received everything at their end. So, I would advise you to patiently wait. They have until Jan 15 to send out their decision. Good luck.

Thank you @jefrobertson for the input. I was hoping it was a “tell” for admission since I dont remember the access to Canvas previously. My kid has not heard yet about his decision, but kids at his high school have. I dont know if it makes a difference that he applied to JSOM. You have repeatedly said it’s ok if students are still waiting for their decisions.

Admission Sherlock Holmes can be both fun and dangerous. JSOM with prescreen and audition may link Canvas earlier. I had thought Jacobs had a bit of a different admit timeline but I’m very much not a Jacobs expert - not my world as jealous as I am to those who have that kind of skill.

I can’t help myself with checking out portals!
Son has not heard from admissions or if he has gotten an audition. But both should be any day. JSOM has several audition dates after the new year. So it is quite a process.

Dec 11th, came from IUB
My son can access Canvas (admission decision was on 12/11) but sadly I can’t confirm if he could access it before he was admitted or not.
Here’s hoping you hear soon! The wait is a killer for sure!

Still don’t understand how IU can forget sending an email to check the portal when a decision is available. They send so many other emails regarding scholarships/financial aid to the same email address!.
