MA here too. My kid is already thinking of joining Penn State DUS where he is accepted. I rather him wait to see all his options including MSU Broad and IU Kelley admission outcomes in Feb/March before he decides. He is not a direct admit to Kelley. He feels if he doesn’t get into Broad (MSU) or IU(Kelley), PSU DUS to Business is a better option as there is no limitation on seats once you hit the GPA requirement.

Based on his school’s past acceptance profile to both schools… Both schools have an acceptance rate of 80 or more- so not tough. But MSU applicants had more rejection percentages in school. I may be biased as the sample size to IU was smaller
Is there a Kelley limitation on seats if you hit the freshman GPA?
Not sure. Big issue with Kelley is that they need a B or higher . B- are not admitted and need review petition. PSU Smeal… overall GPA of 3.2 or higher with a minimum of C. One bad course can screw it up. I heard from one a friend whose kid went through standard route past year. There were quite a few who did not make it! We need to research more on all these B schools and their Entrance to major requirement carefully before making a final decision.

FWIW, my DD was admitted to Kelley last Thursday evening. She never got an email to check status and did not notice any portal changes until afternoon before admit, her school changed from Pre-business to Kelley (under the major). In her one.iu account, she had access to many apps before admit, but not Canvas (and still doesn’t). Her application section in one.iu was blank until after she was admitted (now shows admitted to Kelley), so wouldn’t stress about that being blank. Hope this helps as know the waiting is stressful!

Thank you for your info. So, the applicant must sign up for one.iu account in order to get the notification? Just the portal would not tell whether the student is admitted or not?
No. The application portal had the admittance.
The one.iu account also had an admit notice in the application section.
Thank you so much. I spent the last 25 min figuring out the one.iu but to no avail. My D25 apparently had signed up for one but couldn’t remember the passphrase. We are afraid that if we reset it, then, the portal and atlas would also get messed up. Glad to hear that the decision will be revealed in the portal too. Big thank you.

Yes. In the portal there is a button to create your account.

We had a similar situation to yours, in addition to that, D received IU email 11/25 saying she did not meet the criteria for Kelley and would be pre-Biz. She freaked out ACT 32, GPA 4.0. Then 2 hours later, get email saying that went out in error 
Portal showed pre-biz 12/11 then changed the next morning to Kelley Direct admit.
Crazy stress for no reason…

Has anyone received an admit email with award $? The IU academic scholarships page says they will start going out mid December. Also, one.iu portal in application section says supposed to get an admit email 1 week from acceptance date.
My D25 received the Kelley admit letter yesterday via email. She was accepted to IU on 12/13. She did not receive any merit award in that letter and she did not apply for any scholarships. Her stats are decent…W4.52, 1460 SAT.

Called yesterday. They haven’t gone out yet but will all go out at the same time.
Their latest update on the Wells page under deadlines indicates this week.
