Indiana University Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

My son has not heard yet, but somehow I feel like today (1/9) is going to be the day.

Not sure if that is wishful thinking, or because @jefrobertson has noted 1/9 a couple of times.

There won’t be new information shared at any of these. It’s about comfort at IU, everything you need to know you can find on the IU webpages which basically is housing registration priority date and attendance deposit deadline.

  • Bring on IU is an alumni association regional event
  • Red Carpet Day is the general IU visit day for admitted students
  • Kelly DA Day focuses on Kelley.

ā€œNew informationā€ will be shared at orientation. A lot of underlying questions on these events are ā€œwill I qualify or be more likely to get scholarships by attending?ā€ No you will not.

Thank you!

So when my kid logs into the portal, nowhere does it show any information for financial aid. We don’t see where is the list that shows what they need us to send.

Trying to figure out if I will get in on EA or not. Hoping for the best. Here’s my stats really quick.

SAT: 1140
Weighted GPA: 3.88
Unweighted: 3.6
4 AP’s
Participated in Marching Band for 4 years, NHS for 2, tri-m for 2.5, worked at Culver’s for 3 years, manager since this summer, did band extracurricular bands as I wanted

Applied to College of Arts and Sciences under clinical psychology

Thanks!

Feel like I’m the only non Kelley parent on here… but arts and science sent something about a Preview Day… assuming those are also different than Red Carpet Days? We have not visited campus yet so trying to figure out which would be better to attend.

Non-Kelley parent here but we haven’t heard about acceptance yet so not much to contribute! Waiting impatiently!

Decisions coming soon. Its hard to be patient, I know. We are waiting as well. Our Admission Officer assured us that decisions coming very soon.

When did you speak with them?

My student registered for the preview day… not sure if it’s the same as red carpet day.

Did you receive an invite through email?

My arts and sciences accepted student registered for next month’s preview day.

Yes - emailed with button to click/register.

Did any pre-nursing majors receive an emailed invite to apply to Direct Admit Nursing? Just wondering how many they send out and if anyone knows stats on how many apply and how many are then given direct admit?

Ok. We haven’t received an email yet.

My son received an email today inviting him to apply to the Kelley ACE Program. There is an application due late February and then a group interview during Kelley Direct Admit Day on March 7-8. Did anyone else receive the email and does anyone know what the interview process is like and what percent of invited students are accepted?
