Admitted 12/11. No packet yet.
S25 admitted on the 2nd day of earlier rounds of admissions (canât recall exact date) and no packet yet.
Good news today!! My son, international student who applied EA and TO, just found out heâs been accepted to Finance. Will wait patiently for Request Review and Kelley!
So funnyâŠjust checked the mail and it came today!
Received email today. Admitted. International. Kelley School of Business (Marketing). Thanks to this groupâs support.
Admitted on 1/16. Did not get packet yet. What is in packet?
Itâs an official letter, stickers and a pamphlet that outlines what to do next. Itâs nothing you canât find in their application portal (outside of the stickers) but it is in school colors and is fun for them to finally have something in hand.
Does anyone know about attending Red Carpet day vs Admitted Students day, trying to decide which one my should attend? ( i am an IU alum but times have changed since the late 90s).
Red Carpet day is Admitted Students day
No, Iâm referring to separate college preview days, full day programs at the admitted schools. Kelley, Luddy and College of Arts and Sciences all have one.
Ok thatâs âdirect admit day.â
- Both events offer a campus tour.
- Both have a welcome event.
- RCD will have a dorm tour, DA day typically tours the LLC.
- RCD has general IU type of photos, DA day has college specific photos
- RCD will have academic tour of any of the colleges, DA day will only tour the college
- Neither one do you really meet other students to be, youâll have options to talk with specific current students at the DA Day
IU hasnât changed too much its Kirkwood which has changed. More Canes and Chipotle, less Dagwood and Brads. And more expensive. Upstairs Pub is still there.
Thank you. Super helpful breakdown, one thing I noticed for the admitted studentâs day is that they are offering an IU Memorial Stadium which is pretty cool. and I am glad to hear the Upstairs pub is open, also Nickâs and Kilroys are still there.
School-specific ones are called âDirect Admitâ Days, like Kelley Direct Admit (DA) Day.
My son & I signed up for the Kelley DA Day on 3/7-3/8. Do parents attend with their students or are there separate programs for parents?
Yesterday I stumbled onto a data an analytic dashboard on the Indiana website that allowed you to search acceptance rates by major, break down by state or country of candidate, and even dive to high school. I cannot find it again if my life depended on me (I can find more summarized but not this detail by major). Anyone know what I am talking about and have a link? Thanks
Is this what you saw? Finding Data: Institutional Analytics: Indiana University
I played around with that platform but could not find the exact database. It was amazing - you could look up every highschool in every state and when they had someone admitted to Indiana - look at by major - all that fun statistic nerd stuff.
Iâm questioning if my son should do the DA to Kelly day or the general red carpet day. Itâs one a few schools he hasnât visited yet so Iâll need to sit down with him to discuss. We are registered for the March 8 DA day right now.
I think if you get to any school in any way to check it out - whether itâs a regular tour, an official day, or even on your own - it doesnât really matter.
You need to ensure they have comfort. The how doesnât matter. So choose which is convenient.
Did any Kelley petitioner receive a decision, as was anticipated that at least few high stats âmayâ hear as early as this week?
