How does one get invited to ACES in Kelley and how does it differ from Business Honors?

I am on another thread thatās just about music schools, but this thread does offer relevant and insightful insight, from time to time, outside of Kelley talk. But yes, itās very Kelley heavy. Looking forward to my sonās IU audition and hearing all about it.

Son got DA into Kelley Finance program. Got 6k Deans scholarships. Filled out some General scholarship application before tbe deadline. Any idea how easy or difficult to get these other scholarships?
It gets a little nuanced for kids who tend to be more flexible about their preferences.
DD prefers a typical campus experience, but wouldnāt let that be a constraint for a school like NYU Stern; Rejected ED1. Will likely apply transfer depending on where she lands this fall.
I take consolation in the fact (as many have said before), thereās no wrong choice, they are all great colleges, itās on students to make the best out of whatās afforded to them.

Better yet she walks in thinking sheāll love where sheās going, have great roomies and profs and never think of the T word.

ACES is a small honors program (50 kids, I think) for Freshmen whereas Business Honors is for Sophomores onward. ACES is a feeder program for Business Honors. Other students can also apply to Business Honors during freshman year. OOS son received an invitation on Friday to submit 2 essays to apply for ACES and then interview(s) are held during Kelly DA Day. This is our first time so please update my info. if necessary.

I would fill the petition out even if deferred as I think there is a deadline for it. Better safe than sorry imho.

For those planning to attend the Kelly DA Day, book your hotels soon. I have never seen such prices on hotels!
Agree. The prices and location. You might end up in Indy if you donāt book soon.

I hope they will honor their words and define mid Feb as Feb 14 instead of lingering it for another week.

Itās for international students. IU has not released EA decisions to all international students. They postponed the date to āmid Febā.

IUBB plays Ohio State on 3/8 if that is the DA day you are attending and 3/29 is Little 500 quals. Obviously impacts hotel availability although not as much as football weekends.

Anyone else not get an admitted student packet yet in mail from IU? My OOS daughter was admitted in mid-December.
