So admitted student’s can petition for acceptance even though they didn’t apply during the EA process?

For those who got DAed to Kelley, did your status (pre-business to Kelley) got updated in the IU Application Portal, the One.IU portal, or both?
We still do not see our application reflected in the Student Center of One.IU portal. Admitted to IU as pre-business on Dec 12th; now waiting on the Kelley review petition.
Where do you see the petition application listed? I don’t see it listed in any portal though my son did submit it. Also, did all admitted students who did not submit for Hutton intially now get petition links?
I don’t think the petition itself is visible to anyone(I could be wrong though). we got a email notification that your petition has been received after submitting it, and that was about it.

D submitted Hutton Applic’n in regular process, sometime later (seemed like a long time, but can’t remember actual time) it showed up as having been submitted in the “Post-Admission Checklist”.
After the regular process deadline, the submission date changed on the checklist. Not sure why.
Wait, perhaps I created some confusion here. I was talking about Kelley petition in my last post.
The Hutton petition is showing as submitted with date of Feb 1st under the Checklist.

I’d spare the non-Kelley-Petitioners from irrelevant posts. This thread is almost entirely hijacked by Kelley posts, so I feel bad for the non-Kelley major folks… lol…

We found it in the application portal. After you log in, scroll down to the “post admission checklist” and (for us) it was listed there along with their transcript and “intent to enroll” form. Once you click on it it brings you to questions and then a spot to upload an essay.

What is the Hutton petition? My daughter applied to Hutton and I’m not sure what the petition is.
I don’t think you can go wrong with most schools. I think the potential opportunities for GW being in DC could be tremendous. I do think that there are a lot of pros to pursing a business degree in a city and in a smaller program. We are also really weighing two things heavily 1) strength of the business program and 2) fit for my daughter. At this point I feel like I am somewhat over analyzing and should really default to fit and what she wants. But it’s so hard. Everything feels so competitive but in reality it all works out.

Fit is my choice; at this level the difference between schools will have less impact than her desire for a particular one, imo.

It’s a petition to apply to the honors college. Wasn’t in our portal but popped up yesterday.
Find the “fit” is where we’re having a challenge… silly us… lol…

I noticed this petition is in my son’s portal now as well but he was deferred & asked for the optional statement which he submitted last week. Did anyone know they offer the Hutton’s honors application to deferred applicants too?
I really appreciate you managed this conversation in between like 45 Kelley posts. I wish you all such luck with your kids at Jacobs. I think I’ve written before one of my biggest regrets is not hanging around Jacobs more every time I’m at IU. Such amazing students.

Yes!! Mom, I like small classes and discussion style classes. I want a big school though with sports etc. I like cities but also like huge campuses in the middle of nowhere.
