My son, an international student who applied EA and was accepted last week, received the great news last night that he is a recipient of a Global Engagement Scholarship. He is thrilled, and he’s continuing to hope for acceptance to Kelley (he applied TO).

Congrats to your son. Same here. Just got notification of the Global Engagement Scholarship too. D25 is admitted to Kelley. International. Really didn’t expect this.

CONGRATS! How did you hear about Kelley acceptance? Email? Portal?
Surprisingly, the portal still says “awaiting decisions”. All communications are through emails. She is a DA to Kelley but got accepted on Feb 4.

looks like D25 is set on Indiana. Question, she got rejected from Jacob school of music. Is it possible to try again after the first year. Maybe take some performance classes and attempt another audition?

Does anyone have the dates for March Red Carpet days? Are they already filled? Trying to plan college visits but my child is unavailable to logon to the portal until tomorrow. Thanks!
Any feedback on a Red Carpet Day vs. a Kelley VA Day? We’ve got a Red Carpet Day booked but recently rec’d DA from the petition. It’d be quite the endeavor to reschedule (long trip for us) so unless DA Days is an entirely unique experience we will probably stick with what we have. Thank you!
DA Day is really Kelley-specific. You’ll have the deans and other staff of the undergraduate program talking about Kelley-specific resources and opportunities, faculty in all 10+ departments introducing their majors and course offerings, as well as the students leaders of clubs, workshops and other programs introducing themselves (eg. Investment Banking workshop, Business Fraternities, JLLC, Honors, Student Government etc.)
The second day last year also had some “classes” by faculty, split into parents and students sessions, that you would attend to meet and chat with other prospective kids & their parents.

I think that Hutton Honors decisions were supposed to come out in “late February.”
Do we have a sense of when they’ve been delivered in the past? Do they tend to wait right until the end of the month or is it possible that they come this week?
They are the same events conceptually one about the IUB and one only about Kelley. It’s really about whether your applicant would benefit hearing only Kelley vs seeing Kelley and the IUB. I wouldn’t say DA day is unique - it’s just about Kelley.
It’s an entirely new process this year. It used to be auto-admit by stats and then admissions would also pick out auto-admits from applications, then a review as well. They had no sense for how many apps they would receive so thus the ambiguous decision date.

Congratulations!!! Was the update on the portal or email?
It was an email. She also got the pre business email from the other day. I know some people were thinking that was a bad sign but apparently not.

Just got our financial aid letter, turns out to be the most expensive of all the acceptances so far. I am surprised there’s no need based aid when others have given 60k per year.
