Hello everyone,
My son is currently leaning toward attending the Kelley School of Business because of the substanital cost difference between the two schools. However, he has applied to several external scholarships (some up to $10,000). These scholarship decisions will not be released until the end of May-early June. If he gets any of these scholarships, he would most likely attend Ross. If not, he would pick Kellley. Is it possible to submit an enrollment deposit at both and make a final decision when all scholarship decisions have been made? This would make sure our family can make a well-informed financial decision.
No, thatâs not a good idea. The rules prohibit double depositing. You could call both schools and ask for a deposit extension thoughâŠhowever, I would be surprised if they would push it out a month. But no harm in asking.
Are the external scholarships renewable for 4 years? If not, Michigan wonât be affordable in years 2-4. Are they very low chances he would be awarded the large dollar scholarships?
Is it possible? Yes.
Would you be upset if the schools found out and both dropped your student?
If you were on the waitlist and didnât hear until early June because someone double-deposited would you be upset?
You get to determine your own ethics with the risk. Just canât be upset with the possible result.
We decided not to double deposit. He will be attending the Kelley School of Business in the ACE Program this Fall with $20,000 per year in scholarships (in state). Thank you everyone for all of your help throughout the process!
Congrats!!!
Any movement on the IU waitlist?
Just Finished Up Freshman

Has anyone attended the NSO yet? My kid is doing theirs this week and want to know what people thought. I am hoping it will not be a repeat of the admitted student day we did for COAS in Feb.
Heading to Bloomington next week for orientation. Are their sessions for parents to attend?
I am going to day one today. I can update later.
The first day schedule A:
Check in 9-10
Parent/student 1 hour presentation in auditorium
2 hour lunch with voucher with other parents at the Union
3 hours of sessions for parents(no repeats from earlier prospective and admitted student visit presentations )
Meet your student for dinner at a dorm food court
DAY 2- There are many optional sessions to attend. Your kid will have advising and register for classes. You can also tour all dorms.
Dorm assignments started rolling out yesterday. From what we were told it will be in batches of 1000 in abc order.
C25 was able to see their AP scores and credits today. They were able to easily swap classes due to AP credit.
