This is the true definition of minimalist living. A minuscule apartment, simple and functional apartment and maybe one of the tiniest apartments in Paris; is only 8 square meters.

On the seventh floor of an apartment living in Paris, this apartment is complete with bed, kitchen, bathroom, table, chairs, closet and storage space. Originally a maid’s room, Kitoko Architecture Firms transformed this studio space for a client’s au pair using the “concept of the swiss army knife”.
It’s very compact and cute. I’m not sure I’d ever want to shut all the openings when I went to sleep on the futon too confined! If you leave at least some of it open it’s OK. I’m not sure how long I’d like to live in something so compact. There’s no room for even a dresser. If you don’t have many possessions, it is a cool compact quarters.
Ok, that’s super cool. I could NEVER sleep in that bed with the sliding door closed, but yes, with it open. It would be great for a student or a vacation “home”/rental. The only thing missing for me - a love seat for a comfortable place to sit with at least one other person - heck, if you can fit the love seat and the person is short then you can even have an overnight guest!!!
Cool video. But honestly, I’d prefer the layout of an average college dorm single, which is often even smaller (but with no bathroom). Having an open lofted bed with storage beneath, across from closet/ desk seems more spacious.
Like many on this forum, I really like HGTV’s House Hunters International. This tiny apt. reminded me of one Parisian place that was so tiny, the (very tall) American woman couldn’t fit her knees in the bathroom as she sat on the toilet. Tiny place for tiny people, it seems.
I thought it was clever but completely impractical. There is no comfortable seating, only the backless stools. The bed would not be comfortable, either, without a mattress.
