Lately, Mr. Cumberbatch has had some very very funny and snarky things to say about D-Abbery. I think he is HILARIOUS. Love his voice and he even makes “Little Red Hen” sexy.

The thinking person’s Downton Abbey, ahem, is Upstairs, Downstairs, which did it all before and did it better (except where sets are concerned – it was low budget). 40 years later, that whole series stands up like crazy. I don’t know if you can stream it, but it’s on DVD.

Did any of you see the Disneyland episode of Modern Family? One of the dads said they were going to “Toonton” and the other said, “You’ve been watching too much Downton Abbey. It’s Toon Town.”

Upstairs, Downstairs is on Youtube (15 min segments). It is better than its sister “Downton Abbey”. You’ll immediately recognize every character and the story lines but it’s better on a lot of levels. I loved DA but watched USDS when I needed a fix after last season’s end. Unfortunately I didn’t sleep 'cause I watched it all in a row…
“Person of Interest” is pretty good. Good acting and some interesting story lines. It’s growing on me.
“Big Bang Theory” is hilarious and a great ensemble show.
I like " Criminal Minds" except when I close my eyes during gruesome scenes.
Waiting for “Psyche” too, and really miss “Monk”

If you like dark and don’t mind “adult” comedy, Louie on the FX network is great and up for several Emmys this year. Like Seinfeld, he plays a somewhat fictionalized version of himself: Louie CK is a stand up comic who is a divorced dad with shared custody of his two daughters. The scenes with his daughters remind me so much of the interactions and conversations I used to have with my own when they were younger.

It is currently in season 3; seasons 1 & 2 are on DVDs or Netflix.

This is Jeopardy.
Nature.
Person of Interest.

I am miserable on some Jeopardy categories.

Suits is pretty addicting
