I might be ignorant, but I was just wondering if there is anything like an “annual international students conference/summit” in the US.

As far as I remember, the US started receiving a considerable number of international students before and after World War I. Since then, I believe that this number has consistently gone up, which reaffirms America’s unsurpassble no1 destination for foreign students. Notwithstanding our huge presence in as well as our remarkable contribution to this country, it would not be too much of an exaggeration to say that there are virtually no intercollegiate, social interaction between overseas students studying and working in the US. Isn’t that kinda surprising?

I have not lived in the US very long so I might be completely wrong.

I think you’re on to something, I will be heading to the US for the first time in my life this fall (assuming everything goes well with the visa), and I would love to get together with other intls. from other colleges on an annual basis. But almost all of the good US schools have sth similar with their intls., sort of like a “celebartion of diversity,” if you will (no doubt a photo-op), but I’m with you. Keep me posted
