^^ abasket, me too. I usually send Popcorn Factory to H and my siblings & their families at Christmas, if Garrett’s is THAT much better, I’d consider it…anyone? Is it really worth it?

How about a tin of biscotti to dunk in coffee or tea? Enrico’s Bakery ([Biscotti, Biscotti Bakery, Italian Biscotti - The Enrico Biscotti Co., Pittsburgh](http://www.enricobiscotti.com)) in Pittsburgh specializes in biscotti - they have dozens of varieties. Add several pounds of good coffee or tea & you have a nice gift basket.

Thanks, zipyourlips! I’ve heard of Bequet’s before, but not positive where. I will order thru Amazon (they definitely lose money on my prime membership). Can’t wait (haha they’re for me)!

Justamom, Garrett’s popcorn from their store is an amazing indulgence! I’ve never tried it shipped, only fresh, but what I have had is splurge- worthy!

Garrett’s shipped is still divine!

Maybe I’ll test out the Garretts on our family this year…hee hee.

We’ve got a couple of neighbors that helped us out all summer while H was recovering from surgery - they took turns cutting the grass for us so we didn’t have to worry about it. H would like for us to get them something…along the lines of Omaha Steaks or something - but on a smaller scale. I suggested maybe an Edible Arrangement, but evidently that’s not “manly” enough. Ideas?

JustaMom, In my paper today, there is an ad for The Grilling Collection (regularly $166 for $49.99). [Buy Steaks, Lobster and Gourmet Food Gifts Online | Omaha Steaks](http://www.OmahaSteaks.com/grillgift34) It has tons of stuff and maybe not all that more expensive than an Edible Arrangement would be.

Only had Garrett’s Popcorn once when visiting Chicago. It was delicious but I remember it being expensive to order when I looked into it later. But very good.

Anyone order from Wolferman’s before (english muffins, jams, etc.)???

Want to send something breakfast oriented and not too delicate - more hearty! (going to a house with 3 big guys)

abasket, Have ordered from (and received) Wolferman’s many times. Just sent that to H’s siblings. Both siblings have already said how much they enjoyed getting that gift this year.

I think Wolferman’s looks like a great choice for a colleague of mine. Only one bad review said that the items arrived stale and inedible. With all the other good reports, I’m a little suspicious of that bad one.

Yes, cartera, That one review saying everything was stale and inedible did sound bogus! Have never had a problem with Wolferman’s. And my guess is that if there truly was a problem with the way something arrived, they would take care of it.

A little late to this thread and thanks to Shrinkrap and the above link, I have made a mess of my keyboard! Note to self, do not read random links posted on CC while eating or drinking.

That really is hilarious, Shrinkrap and fishymom!

I just placed orders from Wolferman’s and the Popcorn Factory. Before you order online, make sure you do a google search for a coupon. I was able to find a 20% off coupon for one of the sites that wasn’t on their website.

We actually JUST got a gift last week from our friends and it’s from Wolferman’s. It was several bags of english muffins, larger than the usual size. I haven’t tried them yet, but our S2 has already had 2 of the choc. chip ones and he thought they were excellent!

I’m just throwing out a warning that there is a website that is telling the public that Edible Arrangements are actually set up to promote and give money to the terrorists…not sure what to believe or not, but just a “heads up”.

How many of us just googled “Edible Arrangements terrorism”?

^^Who knows if it’s really true or not missypie! There is a blog from Debra Schlussel (I think that’s how you spell her name) that was passed around to me by email. She states that it goes to fund terrorist activities…I honestly don’t know if it’s true or not! But since I never order Edible Arrangments anyway, it really has no affect on me, since I don’t purchase them!!
Just figure I’d tell you all on cc and do what you wish with the info! ;)

I haven’t seen the blog mentioned, but I’ve received Edible Arrangement gifts and I thought they were awful. Felt bad that someone spent money for it.

After looking through lots of great recommendations in this thread, I decided to buy my foodie friends the tamales Missypie suggested. I think they’ll like this–it’s not something that they’ll readily find in St. Louis.

Unless they go to my sister’s house, who will be receiving them from me!

Has anyone tried soup mixes from Frontier Soups? I’m thinking of getting some for some elderly family members that don’t cook much but love soup. Their descriptions sound so good, I want to try them myself: [Soup Mix | Gourmet Soup | Dry Soup Mixes | Frontier Soups](http://www.frontiersoups.com/)
