i got surprise and pleasure… cause she doesn’t think she is good and she should be happy her husband praised her skill.

It was “surprised but happy”

@ zjyangela same as you, since everyone gets involved, the pay should be equal

For the echolation question,

What is the metaphor used for? Did you guys put to “support the previous claim that bats may actually send out signals”?

satisfaction was wrong too, I guess. suspiciousness disbelief is what I chose. There was no indication whatsoever that she’d be proud if someone complemented her because of her talent. She thinks that she sucks at drawing so, she probably wouldn’t believe it when someone complements her.

There was a question to find the perimeter of triangle ABC in a pyramid. Do anyone have the answer?

I chose “disbelief and suspicion” :/

disbelief and suspicion for which question

There is no reason to suggest she’d be “suspicious” of her husband. She would be “surprised” because she thought she wasn’t good, but she’d be “happy” because her husband is proud of her.

for the bats,… i put bats’ sensory is actually closer to us than we expect. and i think disbelief and suspicion is too negative. she likes drawing and she just lacks confidence(that’s why she is surprise)

ABC is 26 i believe

shift terms of discussion vs. concede a point: He wrote how companies invest much in college sports and conceded that it would be wrong if the students don’t get anything from that money (point of first passage). However, he said that the money should be used to advance the academic pursuits of the students.
Don’t know about that one. The November 2010 thread also doesn’t come to a conclusion.

@ duffman1991 please can u write everything again briefly every SC and passage what u recall so i can compare my answers im confused with this mixed questions

I considered that, but then I went against it because it the next line the author says “bats may ACTUALLY be perceived” as such so the point of saying it “isn’t a vague metaphor” is to emphasise this isn’t some arbitrary comparison, but it actually happens like that…

right, triangle ABC within a pyramid, the perimeter should be 10 +10+6=26

how ABC is 26 ? can you explain briefly ?

The author never concedes that they should be paid, he simply says there is a bigger issue at hand which is academics if I remember correctly. I remember another answer was “misplaced priorities”

Duffman1991 can u?

since two lines of ABC are equal and each line is 10 because there is a right angle within. so square of 6 plus square of 8 equal the square of 10. Therefore 10+10+6=26

@ coldfame about the metaphor question in bat passage, I also chose to support the previous claim, is the choice A?
